QuickPLOT is a simple stand-alone application for generating preplot lines for marine seismic surveys.
QuickPLOT is designed to make it easy for you to create survey projects which you can load into SurvOPT to see how long they will take to complete.
-
If you have a choice of configurations for shooting a survey, you can generate preplot lines for each vessel configuration and use SurvOPT to compare them.
-
If you are deciding whether to enlarge the survey you can generate preplot lines for each variation of the survey polygon and use SurvOPT to work out how long each might take.
-
SurvOPT will help you find optimal swathe groupings, shooting plans and start locations, and deliver accurate, vessel dependent estimates for project duration and cost.
New in QuickPLOT 3.4
UTM Zone Picker / Inline and Crossline Offsets / Full Fold Polygon Coverage / Easy Background Images / Auto Tidy Polygon / Snap to Grid / Optimize Azimuth / Fully Configurable View / Lots More!
By using QuickPLOT with SurvOPT as you design projects, you can make better informed decisions about a range of acquisition parameters, and make the right choice of vessel and configuration.
QuickPLOT can be used to generate sail lines for 3D, Multi Azimuth and Wide Azimuth Surveys. Sail Lines are exported in P1-90 format.
QuickPLOT 3.4.0 is a completely new version of QuickPLOT. It’s built on a solid foundation and exports accurate, fully compliant P1-90’s. However, it’s still really easy to learn and use, and there’s a set of new tools that make creating accurate preplots even faster and easier.
QuickPLOT is available as a standalone product, or as package with SurvOPT, which finds fast and efficient ways of acquiring the survey.
QuickPLOT and SurvOPT will help you make fully informed decisions about how to meet your imaging objectives faster, more efficiently, more predictably, and more profitably.

Using QuickPLOT
It only takes a few minutes to create preplots for any survey polygon- even for a new user.
Step 1: Open the New Project Wizard
Step 2: Specify a Rectangle and a primary azimuth
(you can also import or specify a polygon)

Step 5: Specify a UTM Zone (optional)
Step 6: Export the Preplots
You can now import these preplots into SurvOPT and find out how much your survey will cost.
You can create and analyse any potential survey in minutes, so it’s really easy to compare a wide range of potential scenarios.
