New Havian integration: Auto-update production sequences

SurvOPT now integrates with Havian, allowing production sequence data to be automatically imported into your project. Using the Havian API, SurvOPT can retrieve completed production sequences directly from Havian and create matching completed sequences within the SurvOPT project. This removes the need for manual data entry or export/import workflows, and ensures that production updates are reflected accurately and quickly.

When Havian Auto Update is running, SurvOPT will periodically check Havian for completed sequences. Imported sequences are automatically matched based on preplot name and shot point numbers, helping keep the project status aligned with actual production progress.

SurvOPT can also check Havian for vessel position data: Vessel data is used to update the vessel time and location within the SurvOPT project, and also store historical vessel positions in VesselTRACK format.

This integration streamlines workflows and improves data consistency between SurvOPT and Havian.

Improved AI Help

The AI Help feature has been improved to provide more accurate and helpful responses to user queries. The AI Help system now has access to a wider range of information about SurvOPT’s features and functionality, as well as extra knowledgebase articles, allowing it to assist users more effectively.

Chat with AI Help at any time from Help menu > AI powered help. If you ask questions in a language other than English, AI Help will respond in the same language.

If you prefer to speak with a human, our Engenius support team is available as always: Simply email support@engenius.com.au for assistance. Responses will usually be received during business hours, AEST (Melbourne, Australia) time zone.

NORSAR exports now factor feather into streamer modelling

When exporting to NORSAR, the calculated source and streamer positions now factor in feather. This results in more accurate shot and receiver locations in the NORSAR project, particularly when the survey area is affected by large tide or current variations.

Note: The more intensive calculations may increase export time for large projects. To get a faster estimate, consider decimating the exported positions, by setting “Export every X shot” to a higher value when configuring the export.

Bug fixes and usability improvements

  • Usability: More reliable handling of WMS (web map service) requests. SurvOPT now defaults to using WMS schema version 1.3.0 when parsing WMS responses (new installs only), and will try WMS schema versions from 1.0.0 through to 1.3.0 if the default fails.
  • Fixed: AI Help escalation requests failed to send in some cases.
