New NORSAR export format
SurvOPT now supports exporting source and receiver positions directly to a NORSAR project file. This allows for seamless integration with NORSAR’s ray-based seismic modelling software.

New Quick Start Guide
A Quick Start Guide is available to help new users get started with SurvOPT. This guide provides an overview of the licensing procedure, system requirements, and resources for learning and support.
The guide is included in the user manual and also available on our website.
Sequence importer improvements
The sequence importer has been improved to produce more reliable outcomes when importing completed sequences from a text file.
Preplot line name and sequence status (such as prime or infill) can now be defined either in separate columns (“name” and “status”), or a single column (“name+status”) where the preplot name has a suffix denoting the status.
We recommend always including header lines in a sequence import file, to specific the datetime format and column order.
Usability improvements
- SurvOPT now includes an AI Help feature that provides users with quick access to assistance and guidance on using the software.
- Better support in the New Project Wizard for preplots imported from KML or from other files that use the WGS84 coordinate reference systems: SurvOPT now automatically sets the project CRS to the closest UTM zone, and converts the preplot coordinates appropriately.
- The “Add Line Segment to Preplot” menu item has been renamed to “New Infill or Reshoot Line” for clarity.
- SurvOPT now displays a warning if a preplot shot point interval is different to the vessel shot point interval.
